Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli reiterated on Sunday 9/10/2022 the State’s interest in developing micro, small and medium-scale projects in implementation of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s directives to provide all necessary support to this vital sector.
The premier made the remarks during the inauguration of the fourth session of Turathna (Our Heritage) exhibition for handcrafts which is held under the sponsorship of President Sisi from October 9-15 and with the participation of a number of ministers and the Cairo governor.
The event is organized by the Medium, Small and Micro Enterprise Development Agency.
The exhibition reflects the government’s interest in the medium, small and micro enterprises sector, and its tireless efforts to provide financial support as well as technical and marketing services for these projects.
Nevin Gamea, head of the agency, said 1,116 exhibitors are taking part in the exhibition, 45 percent of them are newcomers, adding that it provides an important chance to display and market these products.
She said more than 100 exhibitors of special needs are participating in the exhibition through 15 non-governmental organizations.
She added that Saudi Arabia is attending the event as a guest of honor in addition to the participation of the UAE, Jordan, Sudan and Libya.
She said the event represents a platform for creators, craftsmen and artists from different Arab countries to demonstrate their artistic and cultural heritage.
She reiterated the government’s keenness to hold the exhibition annually aims to support crafts sector workers, promote ancient artistic heritage, and consolidate everything that expresses the Egyptian identity.
The premier, accompanied by ministers, toured the different pavilions of the exhibition that showcases textiles, glass products and other hand-made products.
