Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli has lauded India’s invitation to Egypt to participate at the G20.

The premier’s remarks came on Monday at a meeting to discuss Egypt’s arrangements to partake as a guest of the Indian presidency for the summit.

The invitation reflects historical ties between the Egyptian and Indian leaderships, governments and peoples, Madbouli said, highlighting Cairo’s prestigious position regionally and internationally.

Sisi directed to prioritize Egypt’s effective participation at the summit to enhance joint international action, particularly on issues related to Africa and developing countries such as food, energy, climate, development and global economic reforms, Madbouli added.

The meeting was also attended by Finance Minister Mohamed Maiet and a host of assistants to ministers and respective officials.
