Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said the State is keen on revitalizing the industry sector, through offering all possible facilitation and incentives for luring local and foreign investments to this vital domain.

Madbouli’s remarks came during his meeting on Thursday 19/5/2022 with Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries Mohamed El Sewedy to probe mechanisms for backing the Egyptian industry.

The premier briefed El Sewedy on the recent measures introduced by the government to deal with the global economic crisis and mitigate its repercussions on the national economy.

The prime minister pointed out that the government took significant steps to bolster the industry sector, including providing industrial lands with usufruct and easing licensing procedures, notably the issuance of the golden license.

On his part, Chairman of the Federation of Egyptian Industries thanked President Abdel Fattah El Sisi for his continuing directives to prop up the industry sector, including his recent instructions to exclude production requirements and raw materials from the new import rules.

El Sewedy lauded the government’s efforts to provide further facilitation for investors, notably giving the Industrial Development Authority the right to issue industrial licenses.

Madbouli also shed light on the government’s action to support exporters and the State’s plan for increasing the volume of exports to nearly USD 100 billion.
