Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said the State seeks to strengthen the private sector’s role in the economic activity.
The premier made the remarks on Sunday during a meeting with Minister of Higher Education and Acting Minister of Health Khaled Abdel Ghaffar and CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI) Mohamed Abdel Wahab, where they discussed means of luring private investments into the sectors of health and education.
Madbouli asserted the importance of enhancing the private sector’s involvement in priority sectors, notably the health and education ones.
In this regard, the prime minister issued directives to prepare a stimulus package that encourages local and foreign investors to invest in the two vital sectors.
On his part, Abdel Ghaffar said the Health Ministry is coordinating with the GAFI to introduce stimulus packages for luring private investments into the health sector, noting that the next decade would require huge investments in the field of medical care.
