Khasawneh stressed the importance of the comprehensive modernization project led by His Majesty King Abdullah at the beginning of the second centennial of the Jordanian state. He pointed out that the achievements of the Jordanian state during its first centennial call for pride and honor. “Jordan is a country in which there is almost no illiteracy rate at all with regard to education, and we have the best human cadres, and a percentage of coverage of the electrical sector that covers almost all regions of the Kingdom, a network of internal and external roads covering various governorates and regions, civil and military hospitals at a high level in all governorates, comprehensive and primary health centers covering most areas, water services, a dam system and sanitation, and a mixture of traditional and renewable energy, where the coverage percentages of renewable energy from wind and sun reach (30%) as a top country in the region,” Khasawneh explained. Khasawneh added that these achievements are conclusive evidence that the use of the state’s limited resources during the first centennial, as we also enter the second year of our second centennial, was a sound use to establish infrastructure, facilities and basic services comparable to those in countries that possess vast wealth. The premier emphasized the role of governors and administrative rulers and their responsibility in showing the narrative of the Jordanian success story, pointing out that each governorate has multiple success stories in many fields that must be highlighted. He also referred to the role of governors and administrative rulers in implementing the comprehensive modernization project led by His Majesty King Abdullah with its three tracks of political modernization, the economic modernization vision, and the public sector modernization roadmap.
