President of Armenia receives credentials of Ambassador Asrinian; relations with Syria strong

Ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary Nora Arisian presented on Tuesday her credentials to President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan.

President Khachaturyan hailed the strong relations that bind the two friendly countries of Syria and Armenia, established on historic bases, showing confidence that the Ambassador’s appointment would help boost bilateral relations.

He considered that the appointment of a Syrian Ambassador, of Armenian origin, indicates the deep-rooted ties.

The President thanked Syria for hosting the Armenians who survived the genocide perpetrated by the Ottomans against them.

Ambassador Arsinian, for her part, was proud of representing the Syrian Arab Republic in Armenia.

She conveyed President Bashar al-Assad’s greetings to President of Armenia, affirming that she will do her best to develop and boost bilateral relations.
