Riyadh, President of the Board of Grievances and Administrative Judicial Council, Sheikh Dr Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Yousef, said that the Saudi judiciary is currently experiencing significant development and constant updates during the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, and His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, Crown Prince and Prime Minister.

He stated that these developments result from the creation and digitization of judicial systems and the development of legislation in line with the Kingdom’s development and commercial, cultural, and investment openness to the world at various levels. He added that we are witnessing the qualitative shift experienced by the judiciary in general and the administration in particular throughout the Kingdom through digitizing all litigation steps and the administrative services that support them.

This came in a speech at the Southern Methodist University (SMU) School of Law, in the United States of America, in the presence of many judges, faculty members, students, and lawyers.

Sheikh Dr Al-Yousef focused on describing the creative developments of the current era of the Saudi judiciary in terms of the development of its systems, the improvement of its output, and the reduction of litigation periods. He explained that legislation had been developed recently, whether in the evidence system or the personal status system and the like, as well as the implementation system before the Board of Grievances and its impact on the stability of judgments.

The visit and the lecture come as part of the efforts of the Board of Grievances to convey the legislative and administrative developments experienced by the Saudi Administrative Judiciary in light of the support and guidance of wise leadership. The visit aims to strengthen participatory relations with the judicial and academic authorities specialized in the legal fields internationally.
