Baghdad, The Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Adel Al-Asoumi, affirmed, “The Arab Parliament provides all support for the sovereignty of Iraq and the protection of its land, and rejects any attacks on its sovereignty or interference in its affairs .”
Al-Assoumi said, during the 34th conference of the Arab Parliamentary Union, held today, Saturday, in the government palace in the center of the capital, Baghdad, that “the Arab Parliament appreciates the many sacrifices of the Iraqi people,” affirming its rejection of any attacks on Iraq’s sovereignty or interference in its affairs.
He added, “A unified Iraq represents a strength for the Arab system because it occupies a special place in the heart of every Arab,” praising the tripartite cooperation between Iraq, Egypt and Jordan, noting that “the challenges facing the region require intensifying Arab cooperation.”
