AJMAN, 12th June, 2023 (WAM) — The Private Education Coordination Office and the Ajman Transport Authority have signed an MoU to strengthen cooperation and establish a collaborative partnership, aligning the education and transportation sectors in the Emirate of Ajman. This agreement is a crucial step towards achieving the Emirate’s vision of improving education quality, enhancing student transportation services and realising future objectives. The MoU aims to establish a balanced and robust relationship between the two parties, focusing on enhancing the seamless transfer of students between educational institutions and facilities within Ajman. To facilitate this, a joint committee will be formed in accordance with the terms of the MoU. This committee will promote the exchange of vital information and data, as well as organize workshops and introductory training programs for personnel involved in student transfers. Highlighting the significance of this cooperation, Mahmood Khaleel Alhashmi, Director-General of the Private Education Coordination Office in Ajman, emphasised the close collaboration between government sectors in Ajman and their shared commitment to improving education quality and school transportation services. Alhashmi stated that the partnership would play a pivotal role in achieving their objectives and enriching the educational landscape in the Emirate of Ajman. Similarly, Omar Mohammed Lootah, Director-General of the Ajman Transport Authority, expressed the organisation’s strong commitment to fostering collaboration and harmonisation among governmental entities and institutions. The primary objective is to effectively implement the visionary directives of the leadership by delivering unparalleled services to the community. Lootah emphasised that the agreement seeks to facilitate cooperation to ensure the utmost safety and security during the transportation of private school students in Ajman. Furthermore, Lootah highlighted the Transport Authority’s unwavering dedication to conducting traffic awareness initiatives specifically designed for school bus drivers and supervisors responsible for students’ well-being. These efforts are reinforced by the implementation of robust monitoring systems throughout the transportation process, guaranteeing the highest standards of safety for school bus commutes. The MoU also includes the exchange of expertise and advanced technologies across various domains, as well as the provision of mutual advisory services and collaborative assistance. Through this partnership, both entities aim to foster fruitful consultations and effective cooperation to enhance the services provided and achieve shared objectives in Ajman. This memorandum is expected to serve as an institutional framework that unifies efforts and facilitates effective cooperation between the two entities, resulting in tangible improvements to the student transfer experience and overall educational quality in Ajman.
