Public Prosecution Engages in G20 Summit on Combating Organized Crime in Brazil

RIO DE JANEIRO: The Public Prosecution has taken part in the inaugural summit of the Heads of Prosecution Services of the Group of Twenty (G20) member states, convened in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The meeting, initiated by the Attorney General of the Republic of Brazil, assembled leaders and representatives from public prosecution offices across G20 nations to address critical issues such as combating organized crime, enhancing justice, and promoting socio-environmental sustainability. According to Emirates News Agency, the delegation from the Public Prosecution was led by First Attorney General, Sultan Ibrahim Abdullah Al-Juwaied. Participants at the summit deliberated on enhancing international collaboration to tackle organized crime, with a particular focus on human trafficking, environmental crimes, and the protection of human rights. The discussions also explored innovative strategies and mechanisms to address common challenges, emphasizing the role of modern technology and artificial intelligence in evid ence analysis and criminal tracking. During the summit, the Public Prosecution presented a position paper reaffirming its commitment to collaborative efforts aimed at achieving swift justice, developing legal frameworks for individual rights protection, and combating organized crime while promoting environmental sustainability. The presentation highlighted the importance of modern technology in addressing cross-border crime and outlined how these technological advancements can be integrated into the Public Prosecution's operations.
