Putin convenes Russian Security Council

Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with the country’s Security Council amid Ukraine’s cross-border incursion in Russia’s Bryansk region.

Opening the meeting via videoconference, Putin asked Russia’s interior minister to present a report on the incident.

On Thursday, Moscow said Ukrainian troops launched an offensive in Russia’s Bryansk region which left one civilian dead and a 10-year-old boy injured.

Putin called it “a terrorist attack.”
