Qabbaj participates in closing ceremony of CIB initiative “Able to Differ”

Minister of Social Solidarity Nevin Qabbaj participated on Monday 29/8/2022 in the closing ceremony of the CIB “Able to Different” initiative to empower persons with disabilities, in the presence of Hussein Abaza, CEO and Managing Director of CIB, Sherif Sami, Chairman of the Board of Directors of CIB, Amr Al-Janayni, President Executive Director of the Institutional Sector at Commercial International Bank, and Hisham Suleiman, Assistant Chairman of the Board of Directors of the United Media Services Company for the affairs of the technical production sector.

The Minister of Social Solidarity stressed that we are making every effort to integrate persons with disabilities into society, saluting the Commercial International Bank for its support of the rights of persons with disabilities at work, and this counts for the private sector and the banking sector, especially since addressing one of the most important issues related to persons with disabilities and their integration and rehabilitation for the market The world is happening in developed countries and Egypt is not less than them, and people with disabilities are not weak.

Qabbaj added that the Egyptian state is determined not to leave anyone behind, and pays special attention to empowering people with disabilities economically and professionally, the presidential initiative “a decent life” and Egypt’s human rights that include everyone and preserve the rights of people with disabilities, which is translated in Law No. 10 of 2018 Regarding the rights of persons with disabilities, there are many acquired rights that aim primarily to protect people with disabilities, obtain their dues and ensure their full integration into society, which translates to the Egyptian state’s concerns about the rights of people with disabilities and work to increase their gains.

The Minister of Social Solidarity explained that people with disabilities may face difficulty in joining work, but their skills and abilities must be developed, which is what the CIB has taken upon itself and prepared and rehabilitated, noting the need to give people with disabilities fair opportunities represented in an integrated system of social, insurance and health protection. Taking into account fair wages, providing a large amount of professional advice, granting various job opportunities, providing technical equipment, and promoting self-employment opportunities in order to encourage their work in the private sector.
