Damascus, SANA-The Minister of Agriculture and Agrarian Reform, Eng.Mohammad Hassan Qatana, discussed with the Chairman of the Economic Committee of the Iranian-Syrian People’s Friendship Association, Dr. Hasan Shakhsi, the existing bilateral cooperation in the fields of exchanging agricultural products and machinery.
Qatana reviewed the Syrian needs of fertilizers, fodder and tractors, pointing out that there is a surplus in some agricultural products of high specifications and quality which are available for export or barter in exchange for products that Syria needs from Iran, stressing the importance of coordination with all parties to put the proposed cooperation programs into practice according to a specific timetable.
For his part, Shakhsi, pointed to the importance of these visits and direct and continuous communication to present ideas, answer all inquiries, and overcome all difficulties facing the implementation of contracts concluded between the two parties.
