GAZA: The surgical ward at Al-Amal Hospital in Gaza has completely ceased operations due to the depletion of oxygen supplies, reported the Palestine Red Crescent Society (PRCS) in a statement.

PRCS affirmed the continued targeting and besieging of the hospital for the eighth consecutive day, amid ongoing shelling and shooting by the Israeli army in the hospital’s vicinity.

PRCS said in a post on the X platform: ‘The hospital is dealing with three martyrs and four injuries from displaced individuals. Some injuries and martyrs remain in the hospital’s vicinity,’ stressing that the emergency teams are unable to reach them due to continued gunfire,’ said

PRCS stressed that the Israeli occupation forces are targeting anyone moving near Al-Amal Hospital.

It said that many families sought refuge at the PRCS headquarters and Al-Amal Hospital following morning threats by the occupation ordering civilians in the surroundings of the hospital and Al-Amal neighborhood to evacuate.
