Russia announced that it arrested an American journalist with charges of espionage and gathering confidential military information about Russia.

According to Tass news agency on Thursday, Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) said that journalist Evan Gershkovich gathered information about a military-industrial complex for the interest of the US government.

Gershkovich works for “Wall Street Journal” and he had previously worked for Agence France-Presse, the Moscow Times and a news assistant at the New York Times.
