Moscow: The Russian government announced Saturday that it is reducing its oil production by 500,000 barrels per day this January to create balance in global oil markets.

According to a statement from the Russian government, “Exports of oil and its products were voluntarily reduced by about 500,000 barrels per day during the current month to achieve a balance in global markets. However, oil exports to India are proceeding according to established plans.”
