New York, SANA-Syria’s Permanent Representative to the UN, Bassam Sabbagh, affirmed that Syria is committed to the political solution based on national Syrian-Syrian dialogue owned and led by Syrians and that adheres to Syria’s unity and territorial integrity which is a firm principle that can’t be compromised.
Sabbagh, during a session for Security Council, said that the determination of some states not to listen to the Syrians’ voice and not to change their wrong policies in Syria and the region has brought nothing but terrorism, chaos, instability and looting the resources.
He added that fulfilling the Presidential election and the mass public participation in it stressed the commitment of Syrians to their country’s sovereignty, territorial integrity and independent national choices.
Syria’s Representative went on to say that Syria renews its rejection to any foreign interference in the task of the committee of discussing the constitution and to any forgery to what was agreed on by any party or hindering the committee’s work under pretexts that never relate to facts.
Sabbagh added that western states some of which permanent members at the Security Council seek to dedicate illegitimate and false situation through supporting separatist militias in addition to infiltering their delegations, like thieves, into the Syrian territories.
