Sharjah: Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Ruler’s Office, officially opened the Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition “ACRES 2025” on Wednesday. The exhibition, organised by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, will take place at Expo Centre Sharjah from 22-25 January.
According to Emirates News Agency, after the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Sheikh Salem explored the exhibition, visiting booths of government entities, private institutions, and developers. He attended presentations on the newest real estate projects and innovations from exhibitors from the UAE and other countries. Sheikh Salem examined developments in commercial, residential, and industrial real estate and services offered by government entities. He met with participants, including the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, Sharjah Digital Department, Sharjah Investment and Development Authority (Shurooq), Sharjah Investors Services Centre, and Sharjah International Commercial Arbitration Centre (Tahkeem).
This year’s edition features over 110 exhibitors, marking a 17 percent increase from last year, showcasing prominent real estate companies from the UAE, the region, and beyond. Developers from Egypt, featured at the “Aqar Masr” pavilion, are presenting a range of investment opportunities in multiple locations throughout the country.
The event includes workshops, training sessions, and specialised lectures in Arabic and English, focusing on real estate topics such as investment strategies, market trends, laws and regulations, and sustainable urban development. Expert consultants and specialists lead these sessions.
In accordance with the directives of the Sharjah Executive Council, attendees can benefit from reduced fees for real estate transactions at the event, including a fee of 0.5 percent for developers, 1 percent for UAE and GCC nationals, and 2 percent for other nationalities. This initiative seeks to enhance Sharjah’s real estate sector.
The opening ceremony was attended by Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director-General of Sharjah Digital Department (SDD); Sheikh Salem bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Director of Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority; Sheikh Majid bin Faisal Al Qasimi, First Deputy Chairman of the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry; as well as government officials, business leaders, and real estate investors.
