CAIRO: Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council (FNC), met with Counsellor Abdel Wahab Abdel Razeq, Speaker of the Egyptian Senate, during his current official visit to the Arab Republic of Egypt at the head of the Council’s delegation.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation and partnership in various fields, in light of the development witnessed by the strategic UAE-Egypt partnership relations, which enjoy the support of the leaderships and governments of the two countries, stressing the importance of consolidating these relations and advancing them across all domains.

The two officials underscored the importance of strengthening parliamentary cooperation and coordination between the two councils, unifying positions, visions and orientations towards various issues of common interest in various regional and international parliamentary forums, exchanging parliamentary experiences, knowledge and practices, and benefiting from the pioneering experience of the two c
ouncils.

The two sides praised the high level reached by the historical and deep-rooted UAE-Egyptian relations in various fields, the joint coordination between them on various current issues in the region and the issues of the Arab nation, in addition to all topics of common interest.
