Saudi, Bahraini, Korean delegations visit NMEC in Old Cairo

A delegation from the Saudi General Court of Audit (GCA) led by GCA President Hussam Al-Angari on Saturday 26/02/2022 visited the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NMEC) in the ancient city of Fustat of Islamic Cairo.

NMEC President Ahmed Farouk Ghoneim welcomed the Saudi delegation and briefed its members on the museum’s history.

The place also received Chairman of the Bahraini Shura Council Ali bin Saleh Al-Saleh and his accompanying delegation that was guided by the museum’s Deputy Director for Operation and Management Fayrouz Fekry on a tour to introduce them to the unique collection of artifacts it holds.

In addition, Director of the NMEC Public Relations Ahmed Samir also received Minister for Land, Infrastructure and Transport in South Korea Noh Hyeong Ouk and his entourage at the museum on Saturday.

Samir accompanied the Korean delegation during a tour of the museum halls, giving them a detailed account of its exquisite collection of archaeological treasures.

The delegations expressed their admiration of the invaluable artifacts displayed at the museum, which show the greatness of the ancient Egyptian civilization throughout the ages.
