Saudi FM stresses evacuation efforts in Sudan

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan said late Monday that the kingdom was in direct contact with Sudan to secure safe corridors with the aim of evacuating other countries’ nationals.

“We are actively engaged with our brothers in Sudan to ensure safe and secure passages with the aim of facilitating the evacuations. The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will continue its efforts and offer assistance to ensure the safe evacuation of foreign nationals to their destinations,” Prince Faisal confirmed on Twitter.

The total number of people evacuated by Saudi Arabia from Sudan since the start of the evacuations to date has reached about 356 people, including 101 Saudi citizens and 255 people of 26 nationalities.
