Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Monday received a call from his Emirati counterpart Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, on ongoing efforts to de-escalate the situation in Sudan.

During the phone conversation, both ministers discussed international efforts to address the situation in Sudan and appropriate ways to prevent escalation and violence while protecting civilians, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

Meanwhile, the Saudi foreign minister received a phone call from his Japanese counterpart Yoshimasa Hayashi, focusing on the current situation in Sudan.

During the call, the two sides reviewed ongoing efforts to stop the military escalation in Sudan, put an end to violence and protect Sudanese civilians.
