Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) President Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Khalifa received Secretary-General of the Council of Muslim Elders and the Higher Committee for Human Fraternity Counselor Mohammed Abdulsalam.
The counselor conveyed the greetings of Chairman of the Council of Muslim Elders Grand Imam Shaikh of Al-Azhar Dr. Ahmed Al Tayeb.
The SCIA president valued the great role of the Shaikh of Al-Azhar in supporting the values of tolerance and interfaith dialogue, spreading peace among the peoples of the world and strengthening Islamic solidarity to face various challenges.
The two sides discussed the good bilateral relations and ways to strengthen them, praising the efforts of the Muslim Council of Elders to promote peace and human unity.
The counselor expressed his appreciation to the SCIA president’s efforts and Bahrain’s keenness to promote coexistence and peace and develop partnerships.
