The Supreme Council for Media Regulation (SCMR) has launched a 12-month training program for African journalists.

The 10-course program is organized in cooperation with the Foreign Ministry, SCMR said in a statement.

Its first course will group 20 Sudanese journalists for four weeks, it added.

The program covers several files, including a joint media vision between Cairo and Khartoum, Egyptian foreign policy towards the Nile Basin countries, national frameworks to combat human trafficking and migrant smuggling, water resources and floods in Africa (the Renaissance Dam), the role of smart forces in international relations and their role in achieving national security, media and digital culture, and bridging the digital gap between generations.
