H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Chairman of Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), on Tuesday, chaired the council’s weekly meeting. The meeting took place in the presence of H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the SEC, and H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and Vice Chairman of the Executive Council. It covered a range of agenda topics, including the growth of government services, the implementation of major national and developmental projects, and several initiatives that advance strategic objectives. The council reviewed the Department of eGovernment’s annual report for 2022. The report detailed the numerous tasks and initiatives the department worked on to support 147 strategic partners from Sharjah’s government departments during the year. The report included statistics on the provided services, rates of utilisation of the department’s electronic infrastructure, security technical support, and modern practices used in the information sector. The study also detailed the department’s long-term goals for infrastructure development, including creating a transparent, efficient, and secure digital platform for all government agencies while keeping up with rapid technological advancements. SEC reviewed the report of the Emirate of Sharjah Committee for the celebrations of the 51st National Day, organised by the committee in all cities and regions of the emirate, in cooperation with local government agencies and the participation of various groups and segments of society. The events included concerts, national performances, community, heritage and entertainment activities that reflected pride in the country’s union and its achievements. The report included the interaction rates between the community and the various events.
