SEOUL: South Korean stocks traded slightly lower late Tuesday morning as investors were in cautious mode ahead of major US economic data releases later this week.

According to Yonhap News Agency, the benchmark Korea Composite Stock Price Index (KOSPI) had dropped 2.54 points, or 0.1 percent, to 2,644.54 as of 11:20 am.

The local currency was trading at 1,331.10 won against the US dollar, unchanged from the previous session’s close.
