Ramallah: Several people were injured in clashes that erupted Saturday when Israeli troops stormed into the refugee camp of Balata near Nablus, north of the occupied West Bank, according to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society.

It said local youth confronted an army force, which advanced into the camp, east of Nablus, along with an army bulldozers that turned internal roads of the camp into mounds of earth, as soldiers searched homes and ransacked furniture.

It said the army sent in additional reinforcements amid the clashes and several people were arrested, local sources said.
