Sharjah: On the opening day of GITEX Global 2024 at the Dubai World Trade Centre, the Sharjah Government Pavilion showcased various innovative technologies aimed at enhancing government services and promoting a sustainable digital future. The pavilion, which featured presentations from 13 government entities, highlighted initiatives across virtual reality, artificial intelligence, and space technology, underscoring Sharjah's ambition to become a leader in technological innovation and smart services. According to Emirates News Agency, the Sharjah Digital Department introduced the "Cyber Resilience" project during the event. This initiative is designed to bolster cybersecurity in digital environments through the use of artificial intelligence. It enables rapid data analysis and threat detection, offering automated monitoring and a comprehensive data overview to help preempt and counteract potential cyber threats effectively. Furthermore, the Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority announced the "Sm art Assistant for Sustainable Tourism," a tool developed to enhance sustainable tourism practices in the emirate. This conversational AI-driven assistant provides instant access to a wealth of information on sustainable tourism resources, supporting Sharjah's commitment to becoming a leading destination for responsible tourism. Sharjah Media City, known as "Shams," also participated by launching the "Create with Shams" platform, which utilizes artificial intelligence to facilitate professional media content production. This platform demonstrates the increasing integration of AI in media, improving content quality and production efficiency through advanced processing technologies. These initiatives, presented at GITEX Global 2024, reflect Sharjah's strategic focus on digital transformation and its dedication to implementing cutting-edge technologies to improve quality of life and service efficiency across various sectors.
