First Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Acting Minister of Defense Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah called on the security services to maintain a high level of vigilance and preparedness during the celebrations marking Kuwait’s 62nd National Day and 32nd Liberation Day.

During an inspection tour of a number of checkpoints along the Arabian Gulf St. on Saturday, he stressed the need of addressing any irregularities or negative behavior with great finesse, according to a statement from the Interior Ministry’s General Directorate of Security Relations and Media.

Sheikh Talal conveyed to the security personnel the greetings and appreciation of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, His Highness the Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah He called on the personnel manning the checkpoints to deal decently with the public and give a hand to the elderly and people with special needs if need be.

The Minister was briefed on the operating system of the field security sectors as well as the traffic plans aimed to ensure the safety of the celebrations.
