Sisi issues decree to amend formation of TDA board

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Tuesday 9/11/2021 issued a decree to amend some provisions regarding the formation of the Tourism Development Authority (TDA) board.

 

The amendments entail that the TDA board be chaired by the housing minister and that it include as its members the ministers of tourism, planning, finance and local development.

 

Three governors named by the prime minister should also be on the board, together with the presidential advisor for urban planning, head of the executive authority of the TDA, the CEO of the General Authority for Investment and Free Zones (GAFI).

 

The board should also include representatives of the ministries of defense, interior, housing and transport, as well as three experts in the field of tourism development and investment.

 

The decree was published in the official gazette.
