Sisi orders revamping mausoleums of Ahl al-Bayt

President Abdel Fattah El Sisi on Monday directed the Armed Forces Engineering Authority to develop mausoleums of Ahl al-Bayt in an integrated way with all surrounding services and facilities, Presidential Spokesman Bassam Rady said.

 

Sisi’s instructions came during his meeting with Adviser for Urban Planning Major General Amir Sayed Ahmed, Head of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Major General Ehab El-Far, Director of the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Advisory Office Major General Ashraf El-Araby, and Assistant Director for road designs at the Armed Forces Engineering Authority Brigadier General Abdel Aziz El-Feki to follow up implementation of the authority’s projects.

The meeting took up efforts to revamp the mausoleums, especially of Al-Hussain, Sayyeda Nafisa and El-Sayyeda Zainab. In this regard, Sisi urged action to develop the mausoleums in a way that maintains the spiritual and historical characteristics of the place, as well as streets leading to them.

Implementation of some projects in the New Administrative Capital was also reviewed, including designs of Misr Mosque and Marabet Misr [Egypt’s Stud Farm].

The president was also briefed on some new road ventures in Greater Cairo.
