Damascus, SANA- Assistant Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Dr. Ayman Sousan, condemned the terrorist attack that targeted the vicinity of the Russian Embassy’s consulate in the Afghan capital, Kabul.

This terrorist attack is the result of wrong American policies and it affirms the need for concerted efforts to combat terrorism, Sousan added in a statement to Russian Sputnik News Agency.

In his statement Sousan stressed that “What happened in Kabul today is a terrorist act, which we condemn in the strongest terms, particularly as it targeted the vicinity of the Russian embassy in Kabul.”

“We condemn terrorism in all its forms, and this affirms the need for unifying efforts to combat terrorism, and what happened is the result of wrong US policies,” Sousan said, reiterating the failure of what America did in Afghanistan.

Sousan added “we renew our sympathy with friendly Russia, and its leadership, government and people, and we extend deepest condolences to our colleagues in the Russian Foreign Ministry.
