Homs, SANA- Department of Antiquities has finalized the study required for restoring Palmyra National Museum which was subjected to sabotaging at the hands of ISIS terrorists in 2015.

“The study included the location surrounding the museum building as well as all the floors with the aim of repairing all the damage occurred,” Head of the Department of Antiquities, Hussam Hamish, said in a statement to SANA.

After rehabilitating the museum, the antiquities are going to be showcased on the ground floor, thus it will be open for visitors at the end of this year, Hamish noted.
