Subversive act targets water pumping equipment in Sanamen city

Unidentified persons have sabotaged the solar energy equipment and attempted to steal electrical cables used for pumping water from two wells on Sanamen-Qitah road, Daraa northern countryside

The subversive act targeted the energy equipment of two wells on Sanamen-Qitah road, which feed the southern neighborhood of Sanamen city from which about 5,000 people benefit, Director of Daraa Water Establishment, Eng. Mohammad al-Masalmeh told SANA.

He added that the subversive act also caused the stoppage of water pumping from the two wells whose total capacity is estimated at 50 cubic meters per hour.

Al-Masalmeh indicated that the solar panels, control panels and electrical cables were also affected, adding that the Establishment currently working on repairing the equipment that was sabotaged in order to re-pump water to the citizens.
