Hama, SANA- The locals of the Suha village in the eastern Syrian province of Hama, returned to normal life after getting rid of terrorism thanks to the Syrian army in 2017.

In an interview with SANA, the mayor of Suha village Hussein al-Khaled said that the number of families that have returned to the village so far has risen to about 234.

The locals recovered their usual agricultural work on their land thanks to the remarkable efforts made by the Governorate of Hama in cooperation with the competent authorities to guarantee all the necessary services such as supplying drinking water and equipping a basic education school, among other services, al-Khaled said.

In turn, the director of the Department of Agriculture of Salamiyeh city, Osama Zeidan, stressed the importance of the peasants resuming their work in this town, where the area of agricultural land exceeds 60,000 hectares, especially after installing a series of alternative solar power units for groundwater wells and irrigating crops due to lack of electricity.

The women of this village played a great role in its recovery, as they underwent various professional and craft courses.
