SHARJAH: H.H. Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah and President of the University of Sharjah (UoS), emphasised the university’s commitment to the pursuit of knowledge as a fundamental principle, aligning with the vision of H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah. This approach has significantly enhanced the university’s scientific and academic endeavours across various disciplines.

Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed made these remarks during his speech at the graduation ceremony for female students from the colleges of Business Administration, Computing and Informatics, Sciences, and Engineering at the UoS for the fall semester 2023-2024, held at the University City Hall on Sunday.

The graduation ceremony commenced with the national anthem of the United Arab Emirates, followed by the recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. Dr. Hamid M.K. Al Naimiy, Chancellor of the university, expressed his gratitude to Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Q
asimi for honouring the female graduates. Moza Al Suwaidi from the College of Engineering delivered a speech on behalf of her fellow graduates, expressing gratitude to H.H. Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammed Al Qasimi, the university’s Founder, for his unwavering support for education. She also thanked the President of the UoS and the university’s teaching and administrative staff.

The University President handed over certificates to the 337 female graduates from bachelor’s programmes in the College of Business Administration, the College of Computing and Informatics, the College of Sciences, and the College of Engineering, wishing them continued success.
