The Palestinian Journalists Syndicate (PJS) condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ targeting of journalists covering yesterday’s protests on the Gaza border fence with Israel. Journalist Ashraf Abu Amra was injured in the hand when he was hit by a gas bomb while covering the protests east of Khan Younis, which required him to undergo surgery to save his arm while a number of other journalists also suffocated with the toxic gas fired in their direction. The PJS called on international human rights organizations to put pressure on Israel to stop attacks against journalists and to prosecute it for its ongoing crimes.
