Syndicate of Journalists lauds decision to release persons held in pre-trial detention

The Syndicate of Journalists has praised a decision by the Public Prosecution to release a number of persons held pending investigations.

It is an important and a constructive step, the chairman of the Syndicate said Monday, thanking Prosecutor General Hamada el Sawy for taking it.

The board of the Syndicate hoped that further steps would be taken to release all provisional detainees, who are not implicated in cases involving bloodshed and terrorism.
