Damascus, SANA- Minister of Culture, Dr. Lubana Mushawah, discussed Thursday with the Brazilian Ambassador in Damascus Fabio Vaz Pitaluga means to enhance cultural cooperation and re-launch the Brazilian Film Festival in the Syrian provinces.
According to a statement by the Ministry, both sides discussed the possibility of cultural exchange, holding concerts and hosting artistic groups and orchestras , in addition to offering scholarships by Brazilian to students of the higher institutes of the Ministry of Culture.
Mushawah reviewed the state of antiquities during and post war on Syria, and the measures taken to preserve and restore the antiquities, museums, historical cities and old markets which were systematically damaged by armed terrorist groups supported by some Western countries ,as well as the efforts made by the competent authorities to recover the stolen artifacts.
In turn, Ambassador Pitaluga pointed out that the meeting comes within the framework of enhancing the exchange of experiences and delegations between the two friendly countries and discussing ways to strengthen relations between them.
