Syria, Czech sign water cooperation agreement

Damascus, SANA- Syria and Czech signed Wednesday joint cooperation agreement in water field.

The Syrian Ministry of Water Resources said in a statement that the agreement includes the implementation of solar energy system to operate water purification station in Hazeh, Damascus countryside.

The agreement also stipulates on the rehabilitation of damaged water and sanitation infrastructure in this area in order to supply drinking water to citizens.

The ministry declared that the signed-agreement with water sources, Ecomonitor, comp. came as a completion process of previous agreement, which included grant provided by the Czech side to implement water purification station in Hazeh.

The agreement was signed in presence of Minister of Water Resources Tammam Ra’ad.
