Syria, Iran discuss enhancing cooperation in water resources domain

Damascus, Premier Hussein Arnous discussed Thursday with, Iraqi Minister of Water Resources Mahdi Rashid al-Hamdani, means of enhancing cooperation in environmental, water and agricultural fields especially in light of climate and environmental changes and challenges facing the two countries and the region in general.

The two sides asserted the importance of consolidating efforts and the joint action to preserve Syria and Iraq rights in the Euphrates, along with promoting bilateral cooperation in training, expertise exchange and expanding the modern methods of irrigation.
