Syria participates in International Anti- Terror Film Festival in Iraq

Syria participated in the official competition of International Anti-Terror Film Festival kicked off in the Iraqi city of Erbil on Wednesday.

Syrian short feature narrative film “Photograph” for film director al-Muhannad Kalthoum which was produced by the General Cinema Corporation, competes with 42 feature films and documentaries in the festival.

The International Anti-Terror Film Festival is considered as the largest cinematic event in Iraq and is held under the motto “With reconstruction we defeat terrorism.”

The festival is an opportunity for cinematic youth to screen their films, which in turn address this serious and painful issue.

The Festival will award the best short feature and documentary film, best animation film, best screenplay, directing and performance, in addition to the jury and the festival prizes.

The events of  the “photograph” film depict the repercussions of the war in Syria on the Syrian child and the employment which force them to stand by their families to provide  financial support for them at the expense of giving up their educational rights and the impact they have exposed to after the war and the consequences of the crisis and the human struggle for survival.‎
