Syria, Serbia to activate joint agreements

Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Faysal Mikdad,, discussed with tow Serbian Ministers of Construction, Transport and Housing Tomislav Momirović, and State Minister of Economy Dragan Stevanović, each separately, bilateral relations between the two countries and means of enhancing them.

 

The two sides affirmed importance of mutual visits and the signing of new agreements that reflect the two countries’ keenness on the best relations between them and the need to enhance them in the political, economic and cultural domains and activate the economic agreements previously signed between the both countries.

 

In the same context, Mikdad stressed the importance of bilateral historic relations between the two countries, which date back to many years, since the establishment of the Non-Aligned Movement in 1961, reiterating Syria’s support for the territorial integrity of Serbia.

 

Mikdad expressed admiration of the civilization achievements obtained by the Serbian people in various fields.

 

In turn, the two Serbian ministers expressed their appreciation for Syria’s resilience in the face of the conspiracies it has been subjected to during the past ten years.

 

They affirmed Serbia’s readiness to support and share in the reconstruction process in Syria.
