Syria wins bronze medal in world speedball championships

Cairo, SANA- Syrian national team ranked third  in the 1st edition of the world speedball championships held recently in the Egyptian city of Hurghada.

The Syrian National team won the Bronze medal in the Solo race and the double relay in the championships which concluded its competitions on Wednesday.

 

The Syrian players Nour Issa and Sham Halawani, beat the teams of Poland, Comoros, Cameroon and Yemen. Halawani also won the fourth place in the Solo race and individual relay competitions

 

Twenty-five teams from three continents participated in the tournament, including Egypt, Libya, Sudan, South Sudan, Somalia, Comoros, Tanzania, Ghana, Chad, Cameroon, Nigeria, Congo-Brazzaville, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Lebanon, Syria, India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Jordan, Bahrain, Poland, Finland and Georgia.
