Syrian Book Fair “Our Book is our Tomorrow” opens at al-Assad National Library

Syrian Book Fair entitled “Our book is our tomorrow” was opened on Tuesday at al-Assad National Library with a different characteristic from previous rounds in light of the government measures adopted to address the Corona pandemic.

 

48 public and private publishing houses take part in the Fair which will last until November 6th. The publishers display about 5,000 new titles in various cultural, political, economic, intellectual and literary fields.

 

In a press statement, Minister of Culture, Lubana Mshaweh, said that during ten years, culture in Syria has not stopped despite terrorism, killing, destruction and the unjust economic blockade, on the contrary, the intellectuals are going ahead in their innovations.
