Syrian, Russian talks in Moscow to enhance media cooperation

Moscow, SANA-Information Minister, Butros Hallaq discussed with Bella Cherkesova, the Deputy Minister of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, mechanisms of booting media cooperation and exchanging expertise between the two sides.


The Minister, during a meeting Friday that also brought Syria’s Ambassador in Moscow Riad Haddad and Head of the Syrian-Russian Businessmen council Luay Yousef, hailed Russia’s stance in support of Syria at international forums.

Cherkesova, for her part, said Syria is a strategic ally and a friendly country to Russia, referring to the need for boosting relations in media field to exchange experience not only on RT platform, but on all media ones.

Ambassador Haddad, in turn, affirmed that Syria stands by Russia in the special military operation to protect Donbass.

“We are very interested in developing ties, particularly in media and press domain, paving the way for journalists in both states to exchange expertise and hold joint programs and projects,” Cherkesova told SANA correspondent in Moscow.
