Syrian women writers gain first positions in Sharjah Award for Arab Creativity

The Syrian writers, Nour Ihsan Al-Mosili and Wissam Abdel-Wahab al-Sayah, ranked first in the 25th Sharjah Award for Arab Creativity for first edition-prepared manuscripts and had not been previously published in a book.

Writer al- Mosili won the first position of the award of  Department of Culture in the Government of Sharjah for her collection “The Women’s Museum”, while a Yameni and Saudi writers won the second and third places .

The novelist al-Sayyah won the second place, while the first and third place went to writers from Egypt and Sudan.

The jury in the field of poetry also hailed two poetry works of Syrian poets, Muhammad Ziyad Shudab and Moaz Jamal Rajab.

In the field of theater, the jury praised the Syrian theatrical work of Hevin Hanif Ahmed.
