Temperatures to drop, Snow and rain expected

Temperatures will drop to become from 2 to 4 degrees below average as the country is affected by a low air pressure accompanied by polar, cold and wet southwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

 

The Meteorological Department expected in its Sunday bulletin that the weather will be partly cloudy to cloudy and rainy over different regions of the country, it will turn to snowy at night, particularly in the northern and central regions and al-Jazeera. Snow is also expected to fall over mountains that exceed 1100 m, warning against the formation of frost and ice in most regions.

 

The wind will be southwestern of moderate speed with active gusts that exceeds 75 Km / h, particularly in coastal regions and the sea waves will be medium to high in amplitude.

 

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 9/1  , Homs  6/3  , Hama 5/3   , Lattakia 12/9  , Aleppo 6/1.
