Temperatures to drop, strong winds in some regions

Temperatures will drop to become around average as the country is affected by a low pressure accompanied by a cold air mass in all layers of the atmosphere.

 

Meteorology Department expected in its Wednesday bulletin that the weather will be partly cloudy to rainy, while the rain will be heavy and accompanied with thunder sometimes, particularly over the coastal region.

 

The wind will be westerly to southwesterly with active gusts and its speed will exceed 80 km/h in several regions, and the sea waves will be high in amplitude.

 

Over the past 24 hours, different amounts of rainfall were registered in a number of provinces as follows: Homs 22mm, Hama 12 mm, Tartous 17mm, Lattakia 11 mm and Quneitra 2mm.

 

The expected temperatures in some main Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 17/09, Homs 14/07, Hasaka 18/06, Lattakia 21/15, Aleppo 17/05, and Deir Ezzor 23/09.
