Temperatures to slightly rise, cold weather at night

Temperatures will slightly rise, yet remain from 2 to 4 degrees below average as the country is affected by a high air pressure accompanied by southwestern air currents in the upper layers of the atmosphere.

The Meteorological Department expected in its Sunday bulletin that the weather will be clear to partly cloudy in general, while it will be cold at night.

The Department warned against the formation of frost and ice in most regions and fog in the central region, Qalamoun, and Ghouta of Damascus.

The wind will be changeable to southeasterly of low speed while the sea waves will be low in amplitude.

The expected temperatures in some major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 11/3,   Homs 11/1 , Tartous   13/8  , Aleppo 8/1 , Lattakia  13/7 .
